How to convert TAR or 7z to ZIP
Save the files from the other archive in a new ZIP.
What to prepare
You can add: ZIP, TAR, TAR.GZ, TGZ, 7Z. The allowed size and number of files are indicated on the tool page.
Procedure
Add files
Add a supported archive. The encrypted initial file will require a valid password.
Select settings
If the original archive is protected, enter its password. Then start processing: the files will be collected into a new ZIP.
Click the button
Read the terms of processing and confirm your consent. Click “Convert archive to ZIP” and wait until it’s ready. If an error appears, read the message and check the file, text, or settings.
Save and check
Download the ZIP, check the list of files and open a few items. Compare their contents with the original archive.

The password with which the initial archive is opened. The new ZIP will not have this password.
Good to know
The new ZIP will be without a password, even if the previous archive was protected. To make a secure ZIP, use a separate archive tool with a password.
