See what has changed in the appearance of the two PDFs.
What to prepare
You can add: PDF. The allowed size and number of files are indicated on the tool page.
Procedure
Add files
Add the old PDF first, the new one second. Choose the same page numbers in both versions: the tool compares the first with the first, the second with the second, and so on.
Select settings
Specify pages and tolerance for differences. With a small tolerance, even small changes in color will be visible; with a large number of subtle differences may go unnoticed.
Click the button
Click “Visually Compare PDF” and wait until it’s ready. If an error appears, read the message and check the file, text, or settings.
Save and check
Click "Download" on the finished result. Open the comparison pictures: on the left is the old page, next to the new one, on the right are the differences highlighted. Also look at the report on the changes found.
Tool Options
Some fields appear after selecting a mode. The default settings are shown here; They are subject to change on the website.
- Pages (eg 1–3, 8)
Write page numbers from the beginning of the file, for example 1–3, 8. A blank field usually means all pages.
- Tolerance of differences
How small color differences can be missed. With a lower value, more changes are observed.
Good to know
The tool compares pictures of pages, not the meaning of what is written. Even different letter thicknesses or slightly offset text may be noted as a difference.
