How to find identical files by content
Find exact copies among multiple files, even if their names are different.
What to prepare
You can add: Files. The allowed size and number of files are indicated on the tool page.
Procedure
Add files
Add a set of files, among which copies are expected. Names and extensions may vary: comparison is made by data.
Select settings
There are no settings. The tool will compare sizes and content verification codes and group matches.
Click the button
Click "Find duplicate files" and wait until it's ready. If an error appears, read the message and check the file, text, or settings.
Save and check
Click "Download" on the finished result. Open duplicates.json and look at the filename groups. If the list is empty, no exact copies were found among the added files.

Good to know
Similar photographs may not be exact copies. Even different information in the file properties changes its contents. The tool only shows matches and does not remove anything from the device.

What to do if the result is not suitable?
Take the original file or text and try other settings in the steps above. Compare the new result with the previous one. The original files on your device remain unchanged.
