What is excluded from the No Gap metric?

Why might the result differ from another counter?

Services may count words and complex characters differently. Here, characters are counted by Unicode code points: one visible emoji sometimes consists of several such elements.

Is the entered text transmitted to the server?

No. The counting is performed in the browser; the text for this operation is not sent to the server.
