How to encode text or file to Base64 and vice versa
Write text or file as a single Base64 string, or recover data from such a string.
What to prepare
To get Base64, you can paste text or select a file. To convert back, you need a Base64 string.
Procedure
Prepare your text
To get Base64, paste text or select a file. To get the data back, insert a Base64 string without the beginning of the form data: and without explanation.
Select settings
Select an action. If you are returning an image or other non-text file from Base64, enable "Decoding result - file". If you are returning plain text, leave the checkbox unchecked: it will be read as UTF-8.
Click the button
Click "Convert Base64" and wait until it's ready. If an error appears, read the message and check the file, text, or settings.
Save and check
Check the received text or download decoded.bin. If it is an image or other file, after checking its type, replace .bin with the desired extension, for example .png.

Base64 does not hide data with a password: such a string can be converted back. If both file and text are selected, the tool will process the file.
