How to number lines of text
Add a sequence number to the beginning of each line.
What to prepare
Open the tool using the button above and paste the text.
Procedure
Prepare your text
Insert list items one per line. Determine whether empty lines should receive a number.
Select settings
Enter the first number, step and text after the number. For example, the first number is 1, the step is 1 and the separator is “. » will give 1., 2., 3. with a space after the period. If you skip empty lines, they will remain without a number and will not change the score.
Click the button
Click “Number Lines” and wait until it’s ready. If an error appears, read the message and check the file, text, or settings.
Save and check
Click “Download” on the finished result; if there is a copy button, you can copy the text. Check the first and last number, the space after the number, and empty lines.

Do not add numbers or text to empty lines. The empty lines themselves will remain.

Good to know
The separator is added as you wrote it, along with spaces. To continue a list that has already started, enter the desired first number.
